Memorial Day

We started Memorial Day weekend with a visit from some of our favorite Bostonians. It was a quick visit, but we had been looking forward to it for a month and it was great!!!



Then on Memorial Day we headed to Staten Island to tour some of our nation's battleships as part of Fleet Week. Here we are standing on a Coast Gaurd ship in front of the USS New York. The USS New York was built using the steel from the World Trade Center towers. There was also a Black Hawk Helicopter on the New York.

On the Coast Gaurd ship they let the kids sit in the control chair. They were pretty excited.

We met some brave sailors while were there and they were kind enough to let us take a picture with them.

After the ships we took the Ferry across to New York and went to the American Indian museum. Then we went to Battery Park and got these great hats. :)

I took this picture to have proof that Lily allowed someone to feed her something.

I think this picture proves we had a great day.
