A warm day in November

Today was probably about the last "warm" day of November. So a friend and I took advantage. We decided to go to a local nature park and walk along the trail. Before we could do that though all the kids got to participate in Sara's poster contest. She worked hard making more than 20 posters and put them up on the wall. Then she had her friends and family enter to win the ones they wanted. She also had a guess how many beans in the jar game and a contest to name one of her stuffed animals. The kids loved it. Below are a few of my favorite posters.

 After the contest we headed to the nature trail. It was so beautiful, and I can only imagine what it'll look like in the spring and summer. My friend told me that in the summer there is an area of the river that is huge and still and shallow and they bring the kids to just splash around all day. I'm very excited to come back then. She also showed us a super high rope swing that swings out over the river. The kids had a great time trying it out.

 After the Nature Trail we headed back to my house where the kids had a lot more fun with sticks, paper, markers, and tape. What do you do with that? you ask....You make flags!!!! And turn your playset into the United Nations of tree forts.
