Can't Catch a Break

The last 3 months have been a little rough for Matthew in the injury department. He has had stitches and a broken leg and now we can add corneal abrasion to his list of woes. Yesterday morning he came to me with a hurt eye. It seemed like maybe something was stuck in it so we just waited. By the this morning it was much worse so we brought him into the doctor. They put some glow in the dark drops in his eye and shined a black light on him and he had a corneal scratch in the 6:00 position starting at his pupil going all the way down. They told me the body takes care of those pretty well and they usually clear up within 72 hours. They gave us some antibiotic drops to prevent infection in the mean time. They asked me how it happened because it looks like he fell off a bike or something, but I assured them that all those marks on his face are from separate occasions. We think he scratched it on a feather that was sticking out of a pillow when he was laying down.
