The kids had a different strategy for catching leprechauns this year. Instead of a trap Sara beefed up her leprechaun house and made it very homey and enticing for a leprechaun to stay. Then she wrote a very nice note asking the leprechaun to please just stay for a couple days. Unfortunately, the leprechaun couldn't stay, but he did leave his scarf as a token for her.
The kids enjoyed green eggs and milk for breakfast and then went off to school...where Matthew was thrilled to find out a leprechaun had visited his Kindergarten classroom, and Sara was disappointed to find out that you don't really do anything special for St. Patrick's Day in 3rd grade. :(
Lily wasn't thrilled about the whole idea, but she did grace us for a picture.
