American Girl Dolls

The Wednesday before Sara's birthday all the stars aligned and we took a girls day to go the The American Girl Doll Place in Natick. There were too many of us to fit in a car so we took Sara's great-grand parent's camper. Sara didn't have a doll so her aunt let her borrow one of her dolls. This store was amazing. It was like a little girl's dream land. It was 2 stories with all the dolls set up. There was a hair salon for the dolls and a cafe with special doll chairs so the doll can sit next to you. We spent a couple hours in the store and Sara could have spent all day. I was a little worried about Grandma introducing such an expensive doll to Sara at such a young age, but I'm glad she got to go to the store to get it because she treats hew new doll like it's the most special thing on earth. They sang Happy Birthday to Sara and she covered her face and was shaking a little during the song...I thought she was just being silly, but when they stopped she uncovered her face and she was in tears because it was not actually her birthday and she didn't like them singing to her at the cafe. Needless to say we'll stay away from restaraunt singing for a while.
