Christmas!!!!!

We had a great Christmas this year. We had our first snow of the year just before Christmas and got about 3" just in time to have a white Christmas. Sara had been waiting for what seemed like FOREVER was in heaven when the snow came and spent all the daylight hours playing in it.

My sister Kyla visited us from the Big Apple and brought her little dog. The kids were SO excited to have them come up. They made a stocking for Kyla and her dog so Santa would have a place to leave gifts.

The plan was to head up to Boston the day after Christmas, but we had a huge storm hit which delayed our trip by a day. We woke up Thursday morning to at solid 15" of snow and after we plowed out of that we went to Boston to drop Kyla off at a friends and we visited Grandma, Grandpa, Great-grandma, and lots of other family and friends all in just a day and a half.

We had a really nice whirlwind trip to MA and then came home to ANOTHER 6" of snow and more presents in packages on the door step.

 Christmas morning stockings

Upon seeing this in her stocking Sara exclaimed, "Wow!! I must be getting really old!"

Matthew was really excited that Santa remembered this toy he'd seen at the store

Before we left we celebrated Sean's birthday at home
And then woke up to a solid 15" of snow to plow out of before hitting the road

We visited Great-Grandma first

She gave such great presents Matthew had to sleep with them  (who says you can't snuggle up with a suitcase and a box)

Lily set her present up in the morning and spent some time getting ready

Oh that hair

Then it was time for more presents with Grandma and grandpa  (boy are these lucky kids)
All dressed up in her new Christmas clothes and jewelry

Sean got a marshmallow gun and we had a blast playing with it

At home we found lots of icicles
