Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's with some friends from church. They had come to our hot chocolate party and thought it was a great idea, so they had the same theme at their New Year's party. They took it up a notch though, and added long skewers so we could make chocolate covered shish-ka-bobs. It was a huge hit. The kids had so much fun playing and all of my kids made it until midnight. I think this was a first.

After sleeping in the next day, we headed to the Children's museum to ring in the new year by playing and going to their butterfly garden.  We discovered that our children are afraid of butterflies.  I didn't think that was possible, but they jumped back every time one flew near them.

After the museum Lily played outside in the snow.  The snow was up to her waist, but that didn't slow her down.
